  EdTechNOT I recommend this site to encourage you to look at all sides of the technology in education issues. EdtechNOT.com has been created by Forde Multimedia Consulting to encourage debate on the merits and pit falls of using educational technology in real schools.
  NCREL This Web site comprises educational technology resources created by North Central Regional Educational Laboratory (NCREL). Explore this site to get some ideas.
  PBS Technology and Teaching An archive of articles by David Thornburg.
  White Papers on Technology Issues for Educators Collection of resources on Instructional Technology issues.
  Guide to Developing a Thesis Statement A good guide for refining your research topic. Review all of the different perspectives that the sample research topics provide.
  Education Topics (Researchpaper.com) A selection of possible topics pertaining to education. It is part of the Idea Directory at a pretty good website for researching, Researchpaper.com
   
Educational Research Resources  
  UNI Library This is the front door for the plethora of resources available at the UNI Rod Library. This includes the UNISTAR database of the collections of multiple libraries in Cedar Valley as well as the multitude of electronic databases to which Rod Library subscribes.
  UNI Library - Education Resources This is a refined collection of electronic databases specifically relevant to Education.
  ERIC Digests These are short reports (1,000 - 1,500 words) on topics of prime current interest in education. They are targeted specifically for teachers, administrators, policymakers, and other practitioners, but generally useful to the broad educational community. These reports are designed to provide an overview of information on a given topic, plus references to items providing more detailed information.
  AskERIC AskERIC is a personalized Internet-based service providing education information to teachers, librarians, counselors, administrators, parents, and anyone interested in education throughout the United States and the world.
  Explorations in Learning & Instruction: The Theory into Practice Database (TIP) TIP is a tool intended to make learning and instructional theory more accessible to educators. The database contains brief summaries of 50 major theories of learning and instruction. These theories can also be accessed by learning domains and concepts.
  Educational Technology: A Guide to Resources on the Web (Association of College & Research Libraries) A collection of sites which provide information for those who would like to learn more about educational technology in general. However, seasoned users of technology to enhance learning may also find them useful.
     
How to Write a Master's Paper  
  Writing a Research Paper A RICH resource from the Purdue University On-line Writing Lab website. This site goes through the WHOLE process of writing a paper.
     
  Principles of Composition The opening page for a wide selection of resources. This includes selections in the areas of The Writing Process, Structural Considerations, and Patterns of Composition
  How to Proofread and Edit Your Writing (Bemidji State University) A complete set of instructions and tips for editing your first draft as well as your "near-finished paper".
     
Additional Resources for Writing  
  Words that introduce Words or Paraphrases (Gallaudet University) A list of useful verbs for citing research information. Includes actual sentences that use these verbs to help contextualize this process.
  Writing Up Research (Asian Institute of Technology) Good explanation of how to write a good literature review as well as the traps. Remember that this is in Thailand so the English grammar may not always be perfect.
