GENERAL UNI DATES TO OBSERVE:

Tuesday, October 27 Last day to file a change of registration with no charge - second half semester course.
Friday, October 30 Last day to change full semester course to or from non-graded basis.
Friday, October 30 Last day to drop a full semester course without an "F"

 

UNDERGRADUATE:

Please note: Students must complete the PPST and Speach and Hearing Evaluations before they can be fully admitted to teacher education. In addition, students must complete OSHA training before they are allowed to participate in their first field experience.

Note: Failure to attend the Speech and Hearing Evaluation on these dates may result in a requirement to schedule an extensive examination at a cost of $30.00.

November 12 Last date to file Authorization to Defend and to make arrangements for dissertation defense (Associate Dean's Office)
November 12 Last date to deliver dissertation to committee for December graduation
November 20 Last date for Preview by Graduate College
December 3 Absolutely the last date for dissertation defense (NOT recommended)
December 4 Last date to make arrangements for formal dissertation proposal meeting (Associate Dean's Office)
December 4 Report on research paper due from department to Registrar's Office
December 4 Thesis/Dissertation due in Graduate College to assure eligibility for December graduation
December 18 Fall semester ends (Last date for formal dissertation proposal meeting this session)
December 19 Fall Commencement, 11:00 A.M.

Spring Semester, 1999

January 11 Instruction begins @ 8:00 A.M.
January 18 - April 9 Dates to schedule Previews to assure eligibility for May graduation
January 18 Intent to Defend Dissertation for Spring 1999 due to Associate Dean

April 23 Report on Research Paper due from department to Registrar's Office
April 23 Thesis/Dissertation due in Graduate College to assure eligibility for May Graduation
May 7 Spring Semester ends

Summer Semester, 1999

July 2 Application for Summer graduation due in Registrar's Office
July 16 Report on Research Paper due from department to Registrar's Office
July 16 Thesis/Dissertation due in Graduate College to assure eligibility for Summer Graduation
