This area was once the swimming place in Cedar Falls. The boat house was a Bath House with a big white sand beach going down tot he river. The swimming area had big jumping towers and big slides to play on. The Cedar River at that time was clear and had a sandy bottom. In the park itself was a little tiny train you could ride on. It also had a building that had monkeys in it and a carousel. A flood washed the beach out, and the place to swim became the City swimming pool at the Cedar Falls Utilities site.
